About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support and deliver CMC’s internal and external marketing initiatives.

Working closely with the Executive Manager – Strategic Markets and Partnerships, this role will play a key part in shaping CMC’s brand presence, supporting business development activities, and promoting our people, projects, and culture across multiple platforms.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both strategic input and day-to-day execution and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategies aligned with business growth objectives;
  • Creating, editing and coordinating content across platforms including LinkedIn, the CMC website, and internal communication channels;
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g. Precontracts, Operations, People & Culture) to gather content and develop engaging stories;
  • Managing and scheduling social media and digital content, including monitoring performance and engagement analytics;
  • Assisting with the preparation of capability statements, project announcements, submissions content, and promotional materials;
  • Coordinating marketing and branding requirements for events, project launches, and industry functions;
  • Supporting internal communications and employee engagement initiatives;
  • Maintaining content libraries, image databases, and marketing assets;
  • Liaising with external suppliers such as designers, photographers, and web developers as required;
  • Managing content calendars and approval workflows to ensure timely and consistent delivery.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

  • Experience in a marketing, communications, or similar role;
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone across different audiences;
  • High attention to detail and a strong eye for branding and consistency;
  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital content;
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Experience with design tools (e.g. InDesign, Canva) or content creation tools will be highly regarded;
  • Experience within construction, infrastructure, or a similar industry will be highly regarded but not essential.
