Marketing & Communications Coordinator – Full time

Huon Regional Care – Franklin

We are seeking an experienced and motivated marketing specialist to coordinate
creative work that strengthens our brand, drives service growth and deepens
community engagement.

In this role, you will guide marketing and advertising management, coordinate
multi‑channel campaigns, oversee content creation, and shape how our services
are positioned across digital and traditional platforms.

You’ll draw on strong analytical skills to interpret data, commission and conduct
market research, optimise pricing and SEO performance, and provide insights
that support informed decision‑making.

With the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across the
organisation, you will play a key role in advancing our marketing objectives,
enhancing client awareness, and supporting organisational growth through high‑quality
communications and community-focused initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, developing and organising advertising policies, campaigns and promotional programs aligned with service growth and organisational priorities
  • Advising executives on marketing and advertising strategies to reach target markets, build
    consumer awareness and promote the attributes of our services
  • Coordinating the production of advertising and marketing campaigns, including artwork,
    copywriting, media scripting, content development, digital and print production, and media placement, within time and budget constraints
  • Conducting and commissioning market research to analyse demand, understand customer
    needs, assess market characteristics and identify new market opportunities
  • Collecting and analysing data and statistical information from digital platforms, campaigns and
    customer insights to inform decision making
  • Advising on elements of the marketing mix, including promotion, pricing considerations, service positioning and distribution channels
  • Analysing pricing-related insights and supporting the assessment of how pricing
    changes may influence service uptake and financial outcomes
  • Developing, scheduling and publishing content across social media, websites, newsletters and
    digital channels, ensuring brand consistency and relevance
  • Recommending updates to digital content to improve SEO performance and search visibility
  • Monitoring marketing and advertising initiatives, preparing regular reports, and providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Supporting organisational growth through the development and delivery of marketing objectives, policies and programs.
  • Coordinating community engagement activities, events and internal communication
    initiatives

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and Communications
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, brand management or digital media
  • Strong writing, editing and content‑creation skills
  • Experience with social media management, analytics tools and content planning
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work independently
  • High level of attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in aged care, particularly support at home
  • Graphic design capability (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Understanding of contemporary marketing analytics and SEO principles

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
