The Marketing Assistant will support in providing registration, information, and referral assistance to prospective participants of the Accelerating Career Advancement (ACA) and RISE programs. In this role, the Marketing Assistant will also provide administrative assistance to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Project. In addition, the Marketing Assistant will assist with marketing and outreach activities for the ACA and RISE programs. This will include assisting with the existing social media plan, marketing, community outreach to service providers, and creating support materials for marketing and outreach.

Duties & Responsibilities
•  Provide marketing and outreach support to the ACA and RISE teams for the promotion of services
•  Produce creative and persuasive advertising and marketing materials
•  Develop email marketing campaigns, other social media communications, and promotional materials (flyers, presentations, etc.)
•  Assist with the organization of program presentations, webinars and special events
•  Assist with administrative services, including general office supports
•  Prepare reports on marketing statistics and trends
•  Respond to inquiries and assist with the booking and promotion of information sessions provided by ACA and RISE staff to outside organizations
•  Assist with the maintenance of resources, flyers and information on training and education
•  As part of the team, provide one-to-one assistance to individuals inquiring about Women and Newcomer services
•  Other administrative and reception duties as assigned

Qualifications
•  Applicants must be between ages 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
•  Be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
•  Must be legally entitled to work in Canada per relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
•  Possess solid administrative skills and have a demonstrated ability in the use of MS Office products, web browsers, online research tools and social media tools
•  In addition to English, the ability to speak other languages would be considered an asset
•  Knowledge of marketing principles with excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Knowledge of job search strategies would be considered an asset
•  Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and customer service skills
•  Enjoy a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
•  Strong team player, with the ability to prioritise and problem-solve
•  Knowledge of refugee or immigrant issues with experience working with or volunteering with multicultural groups
•  Excellent ability to conduct and compile research
•  Experience working in customer service or direct delivery of services to the public

Hourly rate: $17.60
