Marketing & Proposal Specialist

With an impressive portfolio of projects across Alberta and Canada, the firm is looking to add a Marketing & Proposal Specialist to its Edmonton team. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative marketing professional who enjoys working closely with architects, designers and technical teams to develop compelling proposals and marketing materials that help win exciting projects.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong eye for design, excellent written and visual communication skills, and experience within the Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) industry.

THE ROLE

Working closely with the marketing team and project professionals, you will be responsible for developing high-quality proposals, presentations and marketing materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with architects, consultants and internal marketing professionals to develop compelling proposal content, layouts, imagery and graphics.
• Creating visually engaging proposals and presentations for major architectural and design projects.
• Preparing marketing materials for award submissions, exhibitions, conferences and community/industry events.
• Developing graphics and compiling market-sector content, including project profiles, firm information and credentials.
• Creating engaging content for the firm's website, social media and other digital platforms.
• Coordinating proposal response plans, schedules and internal communications.
• Managing proposal timelines and following up with internal contributors to ensure deadlines are met.
• Helping maintain and develop marketing collateral, templates and other business development materials.
• Supporting broader marketing and business development initiatives as required.

WHAT'S REQUIRED

• 3–8 years of experience in a marketing, proposal, communications or related role, ideally within Architecture, Engineering, Construction or another professional services environment.
• Experience developing proposals, presentations, brochures or other marketing collateral for complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with other design, CRM, proposal or marketing platforms is an asset.
• An exceptional eye for design, layout, typography and visual presentation.
• Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
• The ability to take technical information and transform it into clear, compelling and visually engaging content.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects, designers, engineers and other technical professionals.
• Based in Alberta.
• Candidates who can provide samples of proposals, presentations, brochures, award submissions or other relevant marketing work are strongly preferred.
