Job Description
About Us
Williams Stanley & Co is a specialist outsourced finance partner to the hospitality sector with offices based in London and Manchester. We support ambitious operators with everything from bookkeeping, accounts payable and payroll through to management information, tax and strategic finance support. We combine deep sector knowledge with practical technology to give clients better control of their businesses.
We are growing our commercial function and want to become more consistent in how we create demand, activate partnerships and turn our reputation in hospitality into measurable opportunities.
Summary:
This is a hands-on role for someone who can connect good marketing with commercial results. You will own the day-to-day marketing and partnerships plan across Williams Stanley & Co and support the go-to-market activity for TeamPay, our payroll and tronc technology platform.
You will help grow useful industry relationships, create campaigns and content, run high-quality events, and make sure every activity has a clear audience, purpose and route into the pipeline. You will work closely with the MD, Sales, Customer Success and Operational Specialists, while managing external creative support where needed.
Responsibilities:
Partnerships and channels:
- Support the MD in building a focused partner plan across hospitality technology, advisers, suppliers, operators and industry bodies, then own its day-to-day delivery.
- Develop joint propositions, referral routes, co-marketing campaigns and partner content that create qualified opportunities for Williams Stanley & Co and TeamPay.
- Maintain a clear partner pipeline in HubSpot, with agreed next actions, ownership and value attached to each relationship.
- Create a regular cadence of partner meetings and reviews, and identify which relationships should be grown, repaired or deprioritised.
- Equip partners with simple, credible materials so they can understand, introduce and advocate for our services.
Marketing and demand generation:
- Turn the commercial plan into a practical quarterly marketing calendar covering campaigns, content, email, social, case studies, events and partner activity.
- Create and coordinate clear, sector-relevant content that reflects how hospitality operators actually work and the problems our services solve.
- Manage lead-generation campaigns for core Williams Stanley & Co services and TeamPay, working with sales on targeting, follow-up and conversion.
- Maintain consistent messaging and brand standards across the website, sales materials, social channels and partner collateral.
- Brief and manage designers, freelancers, agencies and media partners, keeping spend proportionate and delivery on time.
Events and community:
- Own the planning and delivery of the Williams Stanley Hospitality Summit and a smaller calendar of partner, client and prospect events.
- Shape event themes, speakers, partners, invitations and follow-up around clear commercial and relationship objectives.
- Use events to strengthen our position in the hospitality community, deepen client advocacy and create genuine sales conversations.
Measurement and commercial discipline:
- Own marketing and partner attribution in HubSpot, ensuring leads are captured, correctly sourced and followed through to pipeline and revenue.
- Report monthly on activity, qualified leads, pipeline created, conversion, partner contribution, event outcomes, spend and return on investment.
- Use performance data to improve activity and stop work that is not producing meaningful engagement or commercial value.
- Track the agreed marketing and events budget, maintain clear forecasts and manage suppliers, with spend approved by the MD.
How you will work:
- Partner with the MD on priorities, positioning, commercial targets and the overall growth plan.
- Work closely with sales so campaigns and partner introductions receive fast, disciplined follow-up.
- Work with Customer Success to identify client stories, referrals, advocates and relevant cross-sell opportunities.
- Draw on payroll, tax, finance and operational experts to turn internal knowledge into useful market-facing content.
- Turn agreed priorities into consistent delivery: this is a role for someone who is comfortable organising the work and making it happen.
What success looks like
First six months:
- A clear quarterly plan and prioritised activity calendar
- Partner database and relationship plan cleaned up and active
- HubSpot attribution and reporting working reliably
- Repeatable campaign and event follow-up processes in place
- A stronger flow of content, partner introductions and qualified leads
Ongoing measures:
- Marketing-sourced and partner-sourced qualified pipeline
- Revenue influenced and won, with no double-counting
- Partner engagement, introductions and conversion
- Campaign and event performance against agreed objectives
- Delivery to plan and budget, with clear learning each month
About You
Essential
- Around two or more years' experience in marketing, partnerships or commercial growth, ideally in a B2B service, technology, hospitality or membership business.
- Evidence of building partnerships and turning relationships into campaigns, introductions, pipeline or revenue.
- Strong campaign and content skills, with the judgement to simplify technical or operational subjects for a commercial audience.
- Experience planning and delivering events, from concept and partner management through to follow-up and measurement.
- Comfortable using a CRM - ideally HubSpot - and reporting on lead source, funnel performance and return on investment.
- Commercially curious, organised and proactive; able to manage several workstreams without losing attention to detail.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and external partners, while being willing to do the hands-on work yourself.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a natural, credible style rather than overly corporate marketing language.
Desirable
- Experience in hospitality, hospitality technology, accountancy or outsourced professional services.
- Understanding of restaurant and multi-site operator challenges, including payroll, tronc, finance systems and management information.
- Experience marketing both a service business and a SaaS or technology product.
- An existing network across UK hospitality or its supplier ecosystem.
Why join us
- A visible role with genuine ownership and direct access to senior decision-makers.
- The opportunity to shape a developing commercial function rather than inherit a fixed playbook.
- A strong position in the hospitality sector, with an established client and partner network to build from.
- Variety across a specialist finance business, a growing technology proposition, partnerships, content and events.
- A friendly, ambitious team that values practical ideas, pace and clear communication.
- 30 days annual leave, increasing 1 day per years service to a maximum of 10.
- An extra day off on your Birthday - Time to celebrate you.
- Two mental health days per year, for that extra recharge.
- Access to Hospitality Rewards scheme
- Hybrid work with purposeful presence - Making time together worth while
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and will make reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
