We are seeking a dynamic Communications and Marketing Manager to help amplify our mission of accompanying others through life's challenges through powerful storytelling and strategic communications.
This role requires creativity, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to develop compelling content. The ideal candidate has two to four years of experience, brings high energy, a proactive “can-do” attitude, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll create engaging content for social media, digital, and print, manage communications platforms, and collaborate across teams to elevate Gemma's brand and impact and advance Gemma’s fundraising initiatives.
Skill(s): The Manager will effectively engage with staff at all levels and with external vendors. Must be outgoing, proactive, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, highly organized, be solution-focused and strong interpersonal skills. Skilled at turning information from multiple sources into clear, compelling communications. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and high attention to detail.
Successful candidate will have strong writing and proofreading skills, experience using photography and graphic design for storytelling, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Preferred experience with social media management, photo and video editing tools such as Canva, and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' related experience required. A combination of education and experience will be considered
Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related studies preferred.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to all Gemma locations as well as off-site events as needed.

With three locations in the Greater Philadelphia region, Gemma provides community-based and residential mental health programs, foster family care, adoption and permanency services, special education through an Approved Private School for K-12 students (Martin Luther School), and prevention programs. More than 3,000 individuals and families participate in Gemma’s programs each year.
