Salary £40,777 – £46,142 per annum | Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week | Flexible home/office working with some travel around the North West

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and talented Marketing and Communications Lead Officer to lead and deliver engaging communications that raise awareness of skills and employment opportunities across Lancashire.

You’ll play a key role in promoting programmes that help residents and businesses thrive—ensuring people can access the support they need when they need it.

Working closely with a wide range of partners, you’ll bring stories to life, showcase impact, and help build a stronger, more inclusive workforce.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications plans
  • Create compelling content across digital, social media, web, press and events
  • Manage and grow the Hub’s online presence
  • Work with partners to develop campaigns and share success stories
  • Ensure all communications are clear, accessible and on brand
  • Support stakeholder engagement, events and promotional activity
  • Use data and insights to measure impact and continuously improve

About You

You’re an experienced communicator who can turn complex information into clear, engaging content for different audiences.

You’re confident building relationships, managing multiple projects, and delivering high-quality work at pace.

Essential skills and experience

  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills
  • Experience delivering campaigns and communications plans
  • Ability to create content across multiple channels
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and partners
  • Experience using data and analytics to evaluate performance
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

Desirable

  • Experience in the public sector, skills, employment or economic development
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CIM or CIPR)
