GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Intern will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to support the creation of engaging written and visual content. Responsibilities include writing articles, developing social media content, capturing photos and videos, and assisting with a variety of marketing and communications initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, with opportunities to build your portfolio and learn from experienced professionals in a fast-paced working environment.
This internship is a temporary, summer position, offering up to 40 hours per week. The anticipated start date is between mid-May and early June.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily office setting with some travel to outlying clinics. Often sedentary position/sitting (80-90%), up to entire shift with prolonged, prevalent computer usage, technology fluency, and phone usage. High levels of manual dexterity with constant, repetitive movements of fingers, hands, and arms for typing and operating office equipment is mandatory. Ability to communicate with others through speaking and hearing clearly. Physical movements are regular, not intense in nature, involve walking, standing, bending, and reaching to access equipment or materials and lifting occasionally 10-20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel to outlying clinics requiring high alertness and visual acuity to adhere to traffic signals, signs, safety, and laws.

The Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors which includes patients and community representatives.
Medicare, Medicaid, KanCare and private insurance are accepted. Discounted rates for services are available for those meeting financial assistance guidelines. No-one is refused care due to inability to pay.
