Job Description

Join a purpose-driven organisation where people come first.

At Strive Community Care, we are a purpose-driven human services organisation committed to building safer, stronger communities where children, young people, families and people with disability can thrive.

As a growing Queensland-based, for-purpose organisation, we deliver trauma-informed, person-centred services across family preservation, out-of-home care and disability support. Guided by our values and CREATE Model of Care, we work to ensure every person experiences safety, belonging, opportunity and respect.

We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator who is creative, organised and values-driven to help tell the Strive story, strengthen our brand and connect with our staff, participants, families, partners and broader community.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and teams across Strive.

You’ll coordinate marketing and communications activities across digital, social media, internal communications, campaigns, events, branding and storytelling, helping ensure our communications are engaging, consistent and aligned with our values and strategic priorities.

You’ll have the opportunity to make your mark on our brand and communications while helping position Strive as a trusted organisation, industry leader and employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, promotional activities and branded collateral.
  • Plan, create, schedule and monitor engaging social media and digital content.
  • Maintain website content to ensure it is accurate, accessible, current and aligned with our brand.
  • Develop authentic, human-centred stories and content that showcase our people, services and impact.
  • Coordinate internal communications including staff updates, newsletters, leadership messages and organisational announcements.
  • Create high-quality written and visual content including website copy, social media, flyers, presentations and campaign materials.
  • Support the promotion and coordination of events, community activities and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across Strive to identify stories, achievements and communication opportunities.
  • Ensure communications consistently reflect our brand, tone of voice, values, privacy, consent and safeguarding requirements.

About You

You’ll be a confident communicator who combines creativity with strong organisation and attention to detail.

You’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, journalism, business or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Experience in marketing, communications, digital media, social media, content creation or campaign coordination.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences and channels.
  • Experience creating digital materials, such as content calendars, scheduling and basic engagement reporting.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • An understanding of branding and inclusive, accessible language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • An understanding of privacy, consent, safeguarding and ethical storytelling.
  • A genuine commitment to cultural safety, inclusion, child safety and person-centred practice.

Experience in disability, community services, health, child protection, human services, not-for-profit or another purpose-led environment is highly regarded.

Essential Requirements

  • A current Open Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Have the capacity to meet all probity, safeguarding and regulatory requirements associated with the role, including Licensed Care Service (LCS) Check requirements.
  • Meet all relevant organisational and legislative requirements relating to privacy, safeguarding and child safety.

Why Join Strive?

This is an opportunity to do more than simply create content. You’ll help shape how Strive communicates, builds trust and connects with our community.

You’ll work alongside our leadership team and people across the organisation, with genuine scope to influence our brand and communications while contributing to an organisation where purpose and people matter.

If you’re ready to use your marketing and communications skills to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
