Marketing and Communication manager (m/f/d)

Bayer S.p.A. is looking for a dynamic and strategic Marketing and Communication Manager to join our Pharmaceutical Marketing Team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Customer Experience (CX) and Omnichannel engagement and will initially focus on the Women Health Therapeutic Area.

He/she will integrate strong marketing skills with a deep understanding of customer interaction with the brand, ensuring that every touchpoint contributes to a positive and consistent experience offline and online.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing product strategies and create the brand plan, integrating CX and omnichannel principles
  • Analyze the market environment, competitive landscape and insights
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Sales, Market Access, Analytics and all other teams to design and implement customer-centric solutions
  • Translate customer insights into actionable product features and engagement strategies
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the impact of online and offline initiatives
  • Drive the creation of customer personas and journey maps to inform product development and communication strategies
  • Build omnichannel campaigns for specific targets, leveraging marketing automation tools (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud - SFMC)
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture through pilots and experimentation across channels
  • Support the transformation from reactive to value-driven CX by embedding customer feedback loops and continuous improvement mechanisms
  • Contribute to the evolution of experiential events
  • Control budget spending and ensure effective management
  • Develop and manage projects to implement tactics aligned with the product activation phase
  • Be an active contributor in global brand meetings and in local marketing teams
  • Carry out all the above tasks and activities in accordance with local laws, company procedures and the Farmindustria Code of Ethics
  • Be responsible for defining and balancing all channels (digital and non-digital) to be used in campaigns
  • Be a subject matter expert to promote marketing skills within the organization and an active contributor to the Marketing Chapter team
  • Identify and manage relationships with agencies and vendors ensuring compliance with Bayer standards
  • Be responsible for scouting new trends in marketing plans and sharing them with the Marketing Chapter
  • Be innovative, stay up to date with market developments, and monitor competitor activities

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Degree in Marketing, Economics or Business Management or related fields
  • At least 6 years of marketing experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare companies, including 1-2 years in marketing leadership roles
  • Experience in Women’s Health Care and/or Oncology, with proven ability to manage complex therapeutic areas and multiple stakeholders is preferred
  • Proven experience in managing lead generation campaigns, relationship marketing, remote detailing, digital promotion, online promotion and event management
  • Understanding of forecasting activities and fundamental financial principles
  • Creative Thinking and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic actions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to meet deadlines
  • Proven VACC leader: Visionary, Architect, Catalyst and Coach
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and results-oriented approach
  • Digital skills with excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, generative AI tools, and marketing automation platforms
  • Residence or domicile in Lombardia
  • Fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken) and Italian mother tongue
