Marketing Director – Full-Time

Salary Range: $70,000–$72,000+ per year, based on experience

Hanford Post Acute is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Full-Time Marketing Director to lead our marketing, public relations, and community outreach efforts.
This position is ideal for a motivated professional who understands the healthcare referral process, enjoys building meaningful relationships, and is passionate about connecting residents and families with exceptional post-acute care. The Marketing Director will work closely with facility leadership, referral partners, hospitals, physicians, case managers, and community organizations to strengthen our reputation and support census growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the facility’s marketing and public relations programs.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase census and promote facility services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, managed care partners, and community referral sources.
- Conduct regular outreach visits and provide referral partners with timely, accurate information about facility programs and services.
- Track referrals, admissions, referral sources, market activity, and outreach results.
- Collaborate with admissions and clinical leadership to support timely referral review and smooth resident transitions.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, community leaders, and civic organizations.
- Represent the facility at networking events, healthcare meetings, community functions, and charitable activities.
- Develop and maintain accurate brochures, information packets, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate positive announcements, new programs, facility events, and community-relations activities.
- Assist with customer-satisfaction surveys and track opportunities for improvement.
- Support internal communication through newsletters, bulletin boards, meetings, and facility announcements.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure employees understand their role in marketing and public relations.
- Review marketing and public relations policies and recommend updates when needed.
- Develop policies governing the release of resident, employee, and facility information in accordance with privacy requirements.
- Communicate facility policies regarding information release to employees, residents, families, visitors, and outside agencies.
- Maintain appropriate internal contact and communication lists.
- Keep the Administrator informed of media coverage or public information that could affect the facility.
- Coordinate with media representatives regarding approved facility news and promotions.
- Assist with employee orientation and training related to marketing, customer service, and public relations.
- Prepare and manage the departmental budget in collaboration with the Administrator.
- Serve on facility committees as assigned.
- Supervise or provide direction to assigned employees when applicable.
- Protect residents’ privacy and maintain the confidentiality of all protected health information.
- Promote resident rights and a welcoming atmosphere of warmth, dignity, and personal attention.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, business, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Five years of relevant healthcare marketing or public relations experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
- Skilled nursing, post-acute care, healthcare sales, admissions, or referral-development experience strongly preferred.
- Established relationships within the local healthcare community are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop referral partnerships and support census growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Strong presentation, communication, networking, and customer-service skills.
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and represent the facility professionally.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to attend community events or meetings as needed.
- Ability to protect confidential information and comply with HIPAA requirements.
