Iron Mountain is seeking a highly analytical Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst to generate the data-driven insights that fuel our global expansion. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence Iron Mountain’s growth trajectory by providing the insight foundation for our most critical strategic decisions. Your analysis will be the catalyst for identifying new revenue streams, optimizing our market positioning, and ensuring our products remain ahead of global competitors. By delivering precise, actionable intelligence, you will empower our sales and product teams to capture market share and navigate a rapidly evolving industry. You will translate market, customer, and buyer dynamics into clear insights and recommendations supported by quantitative analysis. This role is responsible for guiding the innovation roadmap, identifying growth opportunities, and informing Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies. You will serve as the internal expert on key competitors by decoding their strategies, analyzing their messaging, and equipping sales teams with battlecards and other tools they need to win. This work may involve collaborating with external vendors and research partners, where you will ensure high-quality deliverables and maximum return on our investment.
You will also help manage our competitive intelligence infrastructure. This includes optimizing our CI platform to ensure it captures, curates, and distributes real-time insights effectively across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Produce regular market and competitive landscape reports that synthesize qualitative research, market news, and deal data into documented strategic trends.

  • Assist in managing the Win Loss program, including the oversight of qualitative interviews, technology integration with internal tools, and the systematic analysis of Salesforce CRM data to track win rates and sales cycle lengths.

  • Assist in managing and reporting on longitudinal brand tracking studies to measure awareness, sentiment, and equity relative to competitors.

  • Support Product Marketing by developing buyer persona profiles and identifying competitor target personas to create differentiated messaging and positioning.

  • Produce research material that informs GTM strategy and product roadmaps by providing competitive landscape insights and primary/secondary market research.

  • Create and maintain competitive assets (battlecards, playbooks, kill sheets) to provide sales teams with actionable differentiators and objection-handling scripts.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, strategy consulting, or product marketing in a B2B environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and the ability to interpret financial data (income, balance sheet, regulatory filings) to assess competitor financial health.
  • Data & CRM Analysis: Proficiency in CRM data analysis (Salesforce or similar) with the ability to visualize win loss trends. Experience with quantitative survey design (Qualtrics) and statistical analysis methods (Minitab, R, Python) is preferred.
  • AI & Tech Skills: Demonstrated skill in using Generative AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate research and synthesis.
  • Tools & Platforms: Experience managing or using Competitive Intelligence platforms (e.g., Crayon, Klue) and Win Loss platforms (e.g., Clozd, Klue, Primary Intelligence) is highly preferred.
  • Brand & Research: Experience managing brand health tracking programs and conducting deep secondary research using analyst reports (e.g., Gartner, IDC).
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear documentation for Sales and Product Management teams.
  • Certification: SCIP (Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals) and/or PMA (Product Marketing Alliance) certification is a plus.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing global Voice of Customer research programs and applying advanced analytics to survey data to reveal actionable customer insights

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Execute the full lifecycle of Voice of Customer research programs—including data preparation, questionnaire building, and email distribution—to deliver comprehensive dashboard reporting and presentations

  • Collaborate with the Senior Customer Experience (CX) Manager and business leaders to synthesize research findings into strategic insights and practical recommendations

  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards by maturing the team’s operational processes, policies, and research standards to scale and optimize performance

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Experience (CX), research, strategy, or other transformational roles within complex enterprise or Business-to-Business (B2B) environments

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise Customer Experience management platforms (such as Qualtrics), data manipulation tools (such as Excel or Tableau Prep), and the use of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs) for research synthesis

  • Proven ability in basic statistical analysis methods and the capacity to meet deadlines while taking full responsibility for high-quality deliverables

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in business, marketing, sociology, or a related field
