Located around the globe we are a leading international law firm with a diversified business practice representing commercial, industrial and financial enterprises both publicly and privately held. The Market Specialist serves as a junior manager in supporting and working with attorneys in the Health and Life Sciences practice groups to drive business development strategies, expand client relationships, and increase revenue and brand recognition. This position collaborates with the broader BD team on day-to-day activities, including managing client and prospect events, responding to requests for proposals and pitch opportunities, preparing market and client analysis reports, analyzing data and conducting business and market intelligence research, among a number of other tasks. The Market Specialist will also have the opportunity to supervise a junior team member, including reviewing work product and providing relevant feedback.

The Market Specialist supports attorneys in a designated practice group to implement business development strategies,
expand client relationships, and increase revenue and brand recognition. This position collaborates with the assigned
Market Manager on day-to-day activities, including coordinating client events, responding to requests for proposals
(RFPs) and pitch opportunities, and conducting business and market intelligence research. The Market Specialist works
under minimal supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Gather client requested information and draft responses for RFPs and pitches, track the results and prepare
reports
- Track new and existing client opportunities in the firm’s client relationship management (CRM) system
- Coordinate client event and conference logistics, including tracking attendees and assembling all event materials
- Process and review website biography updates
- Prepare drafts of legal directory and award submissions
- Create and maintain business development collateral, including brochures, one-pagers and presentations
- Compile business and industry research in support of new business opportunities
- Assess strategic sponsorship and partnership opportunities
- Collaborate with BD Managers/Associate Directors as needed on cross-selling initiatives, client coverage teams,
client feedback and experience management
Job Specifications:

Bachelor’s degree
- At least four (4) years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Familiarity with client relationship management (CRM) software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Ability to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating hours
