Job Description

Lead the design, development and running of strategic insight initiatives across both our Digital Wealth (D2C) and Financial Advice Service (B2B) businesses in Continental Europe. Role can be based in Frankfurt or Milan.

Lead the design, development and running of strategic Client and Brand insight initiatives across both our Digital Wealth (D2C) and Financial Advice Service (B2B) businesses in Continental Europe. Role can be based in Frankfurt or Milan.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Gather client and brand insights from across the business and beyond, to report on trends both within Vanguard and externally (macro trends)
  • Analyse findings and make recommendations. You can interpret qualitative and quantitative research data. You use it to present and prioritise actionable findings and make meaningful recommendations
  • Build and develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, other areas of marketing and external agencies to deliver top quality insights and research projects, aligned to business strategy
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, at every stage of the research process. From interpreting internal partners' research needs to presenting your findings and recommendations
  • With the Head of Client and Brand Insight, set the agenda for senior stakeholder Client Immersion sessions and deliver robust inputs
  • Determine the Brand Insight strategy for the Continental European business, bringing fresh eyes and actionable insights to the Marketing Teams and agency partners
  • Be an advocate; be keen to educate colleagues and partners about customer insight. You prove the value of using both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Be highly organised and flexible to deal with fast paced and short notice requests
  • Understand and use existing and emerging tools and technologies

To succeed, you will need:

  • An understanding of what it’s like to work in a busy Insights team in the financial services sector – with all the regulatory and information security considerations this brings.
  • An ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders, both within the marketing team and with users of the services you provide
  • Natural leadership skills, communicating in an engaging way whether on a one to one basis or presenting to a larger group
  • The curiosity and drive to learn about Vanguard and what we do, so that you can ensure that you are aligned with our strategy and culture
  • Experience of working with B2B and D2C Financial Services preferred
  • Experience of running brand research and bringing actionable insight to the business
  • Flexibility for regular travel between our European offices (London, Frankfurt, Zurich, Milan, Madrid and Paris)

Qualifications

  • Proven related work experience, specifically marketing research experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
