The Market Research Analyst & Report Author role is part of the BOUSSIAS Reports team and sits at the intersection of a seasoned market researcher and a compelling storyteller. You won’t just be crunching numbers; you will be the bridge between quantitative analysis, market trends research and actionable business insights. In this high-impact position, you will own the entire lifecycle of the specific reports assigned to you, directly influencing the depth and value of our research publications. You will work on a diverse range of topics, collaborate with a distributed team, and help elevate our content strategy. · End-to-end report ownership: Execute the research, analysis, and writing phases for assigned BOUSSIAS Reports, ensuring timely delivery and research rigor.
· Comprehensive market research: Run quantitative and qualitative research for your assigned reports, including questionnaire design, desk research, and interviews with market leaders.
· Data storytelling: Go beyond basic descriptive statistics. Analyse and synthesize survey data, qualitative input and market trends to answer the critical "so what?", turning raw data into engaging, fact-based business narratives.
· Data visualisation: Select and execute the optimal visual formats (charts, graphs, infographics) to present complex data clearly and effectively.
· Report authoring: Author authoritative, fact-based business reports in English that maintain a logical flow and engage professional audiences.
· Actionable insights Translate research findings into actionable business recommendations for professional audiences.
Requirements
· 3 - 5 years of professional experience in a similar position (e.g., data journalism, market research, or business analysis).
· BSc / MSc in statistics, data science, data journalism, business analysis, or other related field.
· Native-level or C2 English: exceptional business writing, editing, and communication skills (all reports authored and published in English).
· Proven ability to independently research, synthesize, and meaningfully analyse unfamiliar industry sectors, quickly grasping new market dynamics.
· Competency in conducting advanced data analysis, utilizing Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy) or equivalent analytical tools.
· Strong proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, from survey design to executive interviewing.
· Advanced data literacy and visualisation skills, knowing how to present data visually to maximize comprehension and impact
· Strong aptitude for conducting desk research to uncover, track, and interpret emerging market trends, alongside survey results.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present complex findings clearly and compellingly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a distributed team.
· Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
· A curious mind driven to explore new subject matters, always seeking to grow, learn, and drive the business forward.
· Desirable: Knowledge of the Greek business landscape, familiarity with online survey platforms.
