Your Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Market Research Analyst to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will help drive Stantec’s growth by delivering high-quality market intelligence on our markets, clients, and competitors, turning data and trends into actionable insights that support business decisions.

You will work as part of a globally integrated team, applying a structured research approach and collaborating closely with business partners and internal teams across regions and disciplines to deliver consistent, high-impact market research and intelligence.

Your Key Responsibilities

For the programs that you are engaged with:

  • Deliver market research and intelligence to support the Market Planning & Intelligence team’s priorities, including analysis of clients, competitors, markets, and pursuits
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights through reports, presentations, and program deliverables
  • Develop a broad range of market research, including market sizing, trend analysis, client profiling, competitor assessments, financial analysis, company positioning and industry monitoring
  • Collect, cleanse, and synthesize data from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and relevance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deepen business acumen and proactively support project and planning needs
  • Monitor and communicate market, client, and competitor trends to inform decision-making
  • Support annual planning activities with insight-driven recommendations
  • Drive adoption of tools, systems, and market research best practices
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent, and timely delivery of all intelligence outputs, maintaining rigorous standards for scoping, review, and visualization
  • Integrate intelligence into operations and project delivery, embedding insights into all outputs
  • Support all the Market Planning & Intelligence pillars through high-impact research and analysis
  • Lead insight-driven research projects by applying strong project management, stakeholder coordination, and people management skills, while collaborating effectively with peers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Communicate and collaborate with global teams, including regular interaction across time zones during overlapping working hours

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (e.g. Business, Management, Economics, Political Studies, Library & Information Science or related area)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in market analysis field
  • Experience in Engineering consulting or professional services environment is preferred

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Copilot)
  • Experience using Power BI for data visualization, dashboarding, and report development
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled research tools, including prompt development and evaluation
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and Planner to support collaboration, workflow tracking, and documentation

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (e.g. Business, Management, Economics, Political Studies, Library & Information Science or related area)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in market analysis field
