We’re looking for an Analyst to join our Client Analytics & Insights (CAI) team. The CAI team provides an advisory service that turns Opensignal's proprietary data into useful market insights for our clients. The Analyst will play a key role in engagements with one or more major client accounts – working to create and communicate high-value insights from our data with direct client interaction.

The Analyst will apply creativity, analytical curiosity, and industry knowledge to our client’s most critical business questions. The Analyst will enjoy working with data and translating it into a compelling story. They will work with large, complex data sets and collaborate with team members to build client deliverables. The Analyst will develop real, actionable insights and recommendations for our clients. The Analyst will represent the Opensignal brand in communications with clients and be dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience.

What you will be doing?

Including but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute novel and complex analysis that leverages Opensignal's proprietary data and other in-house data sets.
  • Apply tools such as Excel, SQL, and R to extract useful data, create reports, and ultimately deliver client insights.
  • Serve as an industry expert by researching and analyzing key industry trends, events, and players.
  • Tell stories with data – starting from a detailed examination of data, develop compelling narratives about market trends and implications for our clients.
  • Develop and deliver client presentations, contributing independently to creating PowerPoint presentations for in-person and remote delivery.
  • Engage deeply with your assigned clients by delivering regular reports, responding to ad-hoc requests, and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support relationships with assigned clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction, support contract renewals, and drive sales of new products.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to communicate Opensignal's capabilities, product suite, and market insights to clients and prospects.
  • Understand and anticipate client needs to drive research, product development, and client priorities.
  • Evaluate the methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • 1-2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, market research, or management consulting.
  • Experience planning and executing novel analysis of diverse data sets.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and SQL, R, or VB for analysis of big data.
  • Client service experience or experience supporting diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Strong business writing and presentation development skills.
  • Strong oral presentation skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced and unstructured environments.

Compensation Ranges

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the annual base compensation for this position ranges from $68,000 to $72,000. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for variable compensation in the form of a performance-based company bonus.

Opensignal follows a market-based compensation philosophy, which means we benchmark our compensation for roles at Opensignal relative to other tech companies at a similar size and stage. Your compensation will be based on the relevant market benchmarks for someone in your role with a similar level of experience in your geography.

Our compensation philosophy includes ensuring all employees are paid competitively within the range for their role and level taking into consideration market data from leading market sources.

Work Authorization Requirement


This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future. Applicants must have permanent, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment.
