Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Market President, Edmond, Oklahoma is responsible for overseeing the bank's commercial activities of a geographic region. Directs commercial banking activities across multiple business lines including cost and profit performance of a region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Prospects business deposits and loan relationships in the company target market using local networks and personal connections.
  • Promotes the development and service of a commercial loan portfolios. Expected to meet or exceed loan and deposit goals.
  • Prepares accurate Loan Committee presentations following established guidelines.
  • Ensures commercial team maintains asset quality of loan portfolio and monitors appropriate delinquency rate of assigned loan portfolios.
  • Works with credit administration in risk rating analysis, risk rating measurements, and annual review process. Works with compliance and credit administration staff to assure documentation, forms, and policies are maintained within bank and regulatory guidelines.
  • Directs and coordinates all commercial activities for a region. Provides loans and banking products to commercial clients across one or more different areas such as C&I, business banking, commercial real estate, agricultural, commercial finance (assets-based lending) equipment leasing and finance, SBA loans, or other specialty areas.
  • Oversees commercial activities of assigned programs, such as sales, operations, or electronic financial services; determines methods and procedures for carrying out programs; and interprets policies and practices.
  • Directs or conducts management studies, prepares workload and budget estimates for specified or assigned operations, analyzes operational reports, and submits activity reports.
  • Solicits new business and participates in community or service organizations as well as authorizes commercial loans when permitted by institution regulations.
  • Develops objectives and standards and monitors each region's commercial performance.
  • Oversees the development and ensures that additional commercial products and services are available and ready for clients, such as small business and commercial lending, etc.
  • Establishes and maintains a regional commercial banking program for the Company that is compliant with all regulatory requirements and sound business practices. Develops, leads, and executes regional commercial banking strategies.
  • Participates in the department hiring, promotion, and review process while managing, mentoring, and improving support staff performance. Coaches and develops team to ensure we are meeting the needs of the company.
  • Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

Equivalent Education/Experience

· Advanced knowledge of Commercial banking products and services.

· Advanced knowledge of Commercial Banking policies, processes, and practices.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills

· Proficient in MS Office applications.

· Ability to develop and deliver executive presentations.

· Ability to manage a team to meet Company goals and objectives.

· Ability to maintain knowledge of commercial banking regulations.

· Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, or related degree.

· 10 years of Commercial Banking experience, with a financial institution.
