Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Physician, you will provide excellent care in the role of Staff Physician for the patients of our Health Urgent Care Clinics.

Every day, you will apply your medical expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and compassionate care for each patient. This involves rapid assessment, precise intervention, and effective communication to manage diverse urgent care needs.

You will demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Clinical Leadership & Quality Improvement:

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to hospitalist physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) across the market.
  • Develop and implement standardized clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce variability in care.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as mortality rates, length of stay, readmission rates, and patient satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to hospitalist services.

Efficiency & Resource Management:

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and DHMG administrative dyad partner to optimize

resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and bed management.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce

costs while maintaining high-quality patient care.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for hospital medicine services across the market.
  • Work with finance and operations teams to develop and manage budgets for hospitalist services.

Physician & APP Engagement & Development:

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for hospitalist physicians and APPs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to hospitalist physicians and APPs, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new hospitalist physicians and

APPs.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to hospital medicine physicians and APPs.
  • Serve as a liaison between hospitalist team and hospital administration.

Market Development & Strategic Growth:

  • Identify opportunities to expand hospitalist services within the market.
  • Participate in the development of new programs and services to meet the evolving needs of the community.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to promote hospitalist services.
  • Represent the hospital medicine service line in meetings with hospital leadership, community stakeholders, and other healthcare providers.

Research & Innovation:

  • Encourage and support research and innovation within the hospital medicine service line.
  • Promote the adoption of new technologies and evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in clinical trials and other research initiatives.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Residency in internal medicine or family medicine from an accredited institution and ability to obtain NV licensure and hospital credentials
  • Active board certification in specialty
  • At least 5 years of experience in hospital medicine, preferred two years of demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare finance, operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies and data analysis.
