IntroductionAre you a high-energy, self-motivated individual excited about building a world-class travel brand in the Oceania market? Trip.com is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) for a 1 year contract to drive our property acquisition and growth efforts across Australia and New Zealand. This role is a "Hunter" position, primarily focused on onboarding standard hotels (3-star and above) and serviced apartments.
In this Role, you’ll get to- Identify and target high-potential hotel partners, specifically focusing on independent properties and local chains (3-star and above).
- Lead the end-to-end acquisition process: pitch the Trip.com value proposition, negotiate commercial terms, and drive contract closure.
- Ensure high-quality content, competitive pricing, and seamless system connectivity during the listing process.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful onboarding of new properties on the platform.
- Monitor initial booking trends and proactively address any hurdles during the property’s first 90 days to ensure long-term production.
- Analyse the market landscape to identify challenges and opportunities through data analysis and market research for new growth.
- Take responsibility for maintaining and growing Trip.com’s business presence in assigned Oceania markets.
What you'll Need to Succeed- A minimum of 2-4 years of working experience in sales and acquisition, preferably with a background from OTA companies or Hotel Revenue/E-commerce.
- Proven ability to generate and qualify leads, pitch value propositions, and close contracts with independent hotel partners (3-star and above).
- Deep understanding of the Oceania hospitality landscape, including key competitors.
- Strong logical thinking, data analysis capability, and a positive, enthusiastic team-player attitude.
- High level of adaptability in a rapidly changing business environment.
- A high level of accountability for the "Quality of Sales," ensuring properties reach all milestones.
