In this Role, you’ll get to- Drive Trip.com ’s expansion in Oceania’s short-term rental (STR) and Alternative Accommodation (AA) market by securing new partnerships with top STR property managers, aligning with company strategy to establish Trip.com as a top OTA in the region.
- Grow Trip.com ’s business in assigned markets (e.g., Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands) by leveraging existing industry contacts and building a robust network of STR and property partners.
- Collaborate with partners to maximize their revenue on Trip.com ’s platform through tailored strategies, including maintaining competitive rate parity, optimizing STR availability and inventory, and promoting campaigns like seasonal deals or sustainability-focused listings.
- Strengthen and expand partner relationships to position Trip.com as their preferred OTA, outpacing competitors like Airbnb and Booking.com in Oceania.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, leveraging data and research to identify opportunities and challenges in Oceania’s STR landscape (e.g., regulatory shifts, tourism trends, competitive dynamics).
- Navigate regional regulations (e.g., NSW STRA Register, Queenstown resource consent) to ensure partner compliance and seamless onboarding onto Trip.com ’s platform.
- Act as Trip.com ’s brand ambassador in Oceania, promoting our value proposition to STR hosts, hoteliers, and tourism stakeholders.
What you'll Need to Succeed- Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce, OTA, STR revenue management, or business development, with a proven track record of growing the portfolios.
- Deep knowledge of the STR and Alternative Accommodation (AA) industry in Oceania, including familiarity with platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com , Stayz, or Bachcare, and their operational models
- Established network of contacts in Oceania’s STR, hotel, or tourism sectors to accelerate partnership-building and market entry is an added advantage
- Demonstrated strong ability to build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ideally within the STR, hotel, or OTA industry, to drive Trip.com ’s partner acquisition in Oceania.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and STR/OTA tools (e.g., channel managers, dynamic pricing software, CRM systems).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, regulatory frameworks, and partner performance metrics.
- Ability to work independently in a pioneering role, with a proactive, results-driven mindset to achieve rapid growth.
- Dynamic, adaptable, and collaborative, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience navigating regulatory environments (e.g., STR registration, safety compliance) is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or a related field preferred; OTA-specific exposure (e.g., Trip.com competitors) is a significant advantage.
