The Opportunity
Join a global and innovative team within Hitachi Energy’s High Voltage Products business, a worldwide leader in power transmission and distribution. From our base in Madrid, we support customers across Spain with advanced, reliable, and sustainable high‑voltage technologies.
We are seeking a Market Manager for High Voltage Products - Spain. In this key leadership role, you will steer all local marketing and sales activities across the complete portfolio— AIS/GIS switchgear, components, and services—ensuring strong market presence and long‑term growth.
You will drive strategy, develop customer relationships, and represent Hitachi Energy’s High Voltage Products at national level, while collaborating closely with the Hub Europe Sales & Marketing Manager to align actions across the region.
Your responsibilities
Develops business strategies and sales & marketing plans in partnership with local Marketing and Sales teams, while coordinating product lifecycle marketing initiatives and supporting factory‑driven sales and marketing activities.
Acts as escalation point for questions and issues, collecting customer feedback and ensuring customer quality management and resolution to fullest satisfaction.
Ensures proposal readiness, including development and approvals needed to support negotiations, and guarantees that certifications and engineering capabilities align with local market requirements.
Holds full P&L ownership for the High Voltage Spanish Team, covering orders received, monthly forecasting, ad‑hoc reporting, and collection of competitive feedback.
Leads market intelligence efforts, overseeing detailed analyses of market drivers, trends, competition, and emerging technologies, and actively participates in the Risk Review process.
Represents the Global Business Unit in the Spanish market during the budgeting process and ensures alignment between global expectations and local execution.
Builds capability in the sales organization, ensuring training, accreditation, and readiness of local sales teams.
Member of the Front End Sales ES Hitachi Energy leadership team, contributing to local leadership discussions and decision‑making.
Your Background
Switchgear background with proven experience working within the low, medium, or preferably high voltage segment
Transmission & Distribution Utility customer knowledge and experience preferred
A proven sales and customer relationship management track record in a related field
People management experience & skills
Experience in overseeing quotation preparation to promote optimal outcomes
Strong stakeholder engagement
Fluent in Spanish and English.
