Market Management Specialist

Full Time | Commercial | Olathe, KS | Hybrid

SUMMARY

The Market Management Specialist develops and drives the mid- to long-term strategy for an equipment (sub)market in the Americas, working in close cooperation with the Global Head of Market Management and Global Market Managers. This role translates regional market strategy into a cross-functional action plan, aligning purchasing, sales, development, marketing, and supply chain stakeholders to achieve commercial objectives. Combining strong market knowledge with technical expertise, the Specialist analyzes data, tracks (sub)market performance, and serves as the regional point of contact for technical-commercial questions related to the market.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market Strategy: Spot market shifts and customer needs, and turn them into a regional growth strategy with clear innovation and expansion opportunities.
• Align with stakeholders on competitor and spend data to build supporting business cases.
• Partner with the Global Market Manager and Head of Market Management to connect the budget cycle to (sub)market strategy.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Own the setup, communication, and execution of a regional action plan with TSS, P&P, Supply Chain, Pricing, Sales, and Marketing.
• Propose and oversee regional market development projects.
• Lead operational meetings to track opportunities.
• Report progress and issues while proposing process improvements.
• Commercial and Pricing Support: Connect Sales, Pricing, and Market Intelligence to close pricing gaps and sharpen competitive positioning.
• Deliver technical and commercial training to sales teams and support key customers directly.
• Provide data-driven stock, e-commerce, and digital marketing input, including specs and content for campaigns.
• Track make/model product development projects and evaluate launch success.
• Networking and Market Intelligence: Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and experts to deepen market knowledge, including joining key customer visits.
• Stay current through trade shows, trainings, and industry engagement.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• 2-3 years of experience in market management, sales, marketing or a related commercial role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate across departments.
• Skilled in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization, using tools such as Excel and Tableau.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities, with experience developing data-backed proposals and making timely, informed decisions.
• Self-directed and proactive, with strong time management and prioritization skills.
