We are currently looking for a Market Intelligence (Customer Insights) Intern to join our team in Franklin, TN. The Market Intelligence Summer Intern will support customer trend tracking, market analysis, and insight development for Nissan's Market Intelligence team. This role will help maintain ongoing monitoring of consumer, industry, and competitive trends while assisting with the creation of actionable insights for business stakeholders. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market research, consumer insights, trend analysis, and data-driven storytelling that supports strategic business decisions.

A Day in the Life

  • Monitor syndicated research, industry publications, and internal data sources to identify noteworthy market and consumer trends.
  • Assist in developing next-generation customer and market trend reports.
  • Analyze customer behaviors, preferences, and purchase drivers to uncover actionable insights.
  • Create executive-ready presentations, charts, summaries, and visualizations that communicate key findings.
  • Organize and maintain market intelligence resources, reports, databases, and trend-tracking tools.

Who We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Marketing, Business, Market Research, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Students entering their Junior, Senior, or Master's program at the start of the upcoming academic term.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in consumer behavior, market research, automotive industry trends, and business strategy.
  • Experience with AI tools, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Franklin, TN.
