Overview

Avison Young is seeking an Analyst to join our Industrial Market Intelligence team, focusing on the Florida industrial market. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives on transforming complex market data into actionable insights that guide client strategies and drive business growth.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Southeast Industrial Market Intelligence, the Analyst will lead day-to-day industrial market intelligence across Florida’s major markets, including market reporting, data integrity, and research support for our brokerage teams, while contributing to our broader research strategy.

As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in leveraging Avison Young’s proprietary technologies, data platforms, and research tools to analyze and visualize trends shaping the industrial real estate landscape across the state. You will collaborate with brokers, research and marketing teams, and regional leadership to deliver client-facing insights, support business development, and position Avison Young as a trusted thought leader in the industrial sector.

This position blends data analytics, market research, storytelling, and client engagement, giving you direct involvement in the deal process, from market analysis and forecasting to client presentations and strategic advisory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industrial real estate markets across Florida, including all major metros, with a focus on leasing, investment, development, and tenant activity.
• Track and analyze industrial market fundamentals, including inventory, vacancy, rental rates, net absorption, leasing and sales activity, and construction pipelines, in the context of national and global economic drivers, to identify market shifts and emerging risks.
• Own the accuracy and consistency of Florida industrial property, leasing, and comparable data within Avison Young’s proprietary databases.
• Produce quarterly and custom market reports and regular data bites summarizing industrial performance, key metrics, and forward-looking trends for internal and external stakeholders.
• Use Avison Young’s digital tools and external data platforms to build dashboards and visualizations that turn complex datasets into clear, actionable narratives for brokers and clients.
• Execute Florida research priorities and contribute broker and market input to the team’s broader research strategy.
• Serve as the primary research contact for Avison Young’s industrial brokerage teams across Florida, understanding their research needs and gathering market intelligence from their deal activity.
• Partner with brokerage professionals to prepare tailored analyses for client pitches, site selection projects, and investment strategies, and present findings in client meetings, helping clients interpret market conditions.
• Build relationships with industrial owners, investors, developers, and occupiers through proactive outreach and industry events, gathering market intelligence and identifying business development opportunities for our brokerage teams across Florida.
• Work with Marketing, PR, and the broader Market Intelligence team to provide data, insights, and talking points for research publications, client events, press releases, and media requests.
• Support adoption of Avison Young’s proprietary technologies across Florida offices and relay broker and client feedback to inform product development.
• And of course other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of commercial real estate or consulting experience preferred, but other relevant professional experience considered
• Strong Excel and analytical skills; experience with CoStar or similar CRE data platforms preferred
• Proven ability to present to internal and external audiences using digital mediums
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage and communicate with clients and produce complex deliverables under tight deadlines in partnership with an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Claude or other enterprise AI platform experience is a plus
