🚀 THE OPPORTUNITY

Legion is hiring a Market Expansion & Clinician Operations Lead to turn expansion plans into markets that are ready to deliver care, with the right clinician capacity in the right places. You will connect market prioritization, state-entry execution, workforce forecasting, recruiting, onboarding, and capacity deployment into one reliable operating process.

You will partner with Operations, Clinical, Revenue & Network Operations, Provider Partnerships, Finance, Product, and Engineering. Your job is to make dependencies and decision gates explicit, surface risks early, and ensure a launch becomes sustainable clinical capacity rather than a collection of completed checklists.

This is a hands-on operating leadership role. You should be comfortable building a forecast, working a launch's critical path, improving recruiting and onboarding workflows, and turning recurring manual work into measurable, repeatable systems. Clinical decisions remain with clinical leadership; legal, regulatory, and payer approvals remain with the relevant accountable experts.

✅ RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

• Build market-entry plans that connect demand, payer readiness, clinician supply, launch economics, operating capacity, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Run launch readiness reviews with clear owners, milestones, evidence, risks, and decision gates; resolve critical-path blockers and escalate tradeoffs early.
• Coordinate state entry and payer-entry readiness with Revenue & Network Operations and legal, compliance, and clinical partners; track required approvals without substituting for their judgment.
• Forecast clinician demand and productive capacity by market, specialty, schedule, and expected patient demand; make hiring and deployment recommendations from that forecast.
• Own the operating process from clinician recruiting through offer acceptance, onboarding, readiness, and productive deployment, in partnership with the recruiting and clinical teams.
• Improve handoffs across licensing, credentialing, contracting, training, systems access, scheduling, and availability, so clinicians are ready when patients need them.
• Create clear readiness standards and dashboards for offer-to-ready conversion, time to productive capacity, coverage gaps, and capacity utilization.
• Partner with Finance and relevant operations owners on accurate clinician compensation administration and reconciliation.
• Track launch performance through first visit, clean claim, and cash milestones with the teams accountable for each stage.
• Document repeatable playbooks, improve workflows, and partner with Product and Engineering on automation that removes avoidable coordination work.
• Build a dependable operating cadence that gives leadership a clear view of market readiness, clinician supply, blocked decisions, and the next action.

🧰 IDEAL BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

• Experience owning healthcare operations, clinical workforce operations, network expansion, or a comparable multi-market operating function.
• Evidence that you have personally taken a complex launch or operational program from planning through measurable results.
• Strong workforce planning, analytical, and financial judgment; comfort building capacity models, operating dashboards, and clear decision memos.
• Practical understanding of clinician recruiting, onboarding, licensing, credentialing, payer readiness, and the dependencies that determine when care can begin.
• Ability to coordinate legal, compliance, clinical, finance, commercial, and technical partners while keeping decision rights and accountability clear.
• A hands-on systems mindset: you improve the underlying process, document it, measure it, and automate where appropriate.
• High ownership, honest escalation, strong follow-through, and comfort making progress with incomplete information.
• Experience with psychiatry, telehealth, multi-state clinician networks, or a rapidly scaling care-delivery organization is especially useful.

💰 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary: $160,000 – $230,000 annual base salary, based on experience
