The Role
The Market Development Representative (MDR) is a proactive, outreach-driven role responsible for generating qualified opportunities for the clients Regional Vice Presidents. This position blends traditional Sales Development (SDR) outreach with Market Development (MDR) research and segmentation, ensuring the client engages the right institutions with the right messages at the right time.
Ideal candidates thrive in high-activity, quota-driven environments and bring a strong ability to connect, communicate, research, and qualify leads in a way that aligns with Via’s mission and values.
Your Responsibilities:
Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation
● Contact potential clients through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, and events to qualify leads ● Maintain a high daily/weekly activity volume consistent with MDR/SDR performance expectations ● Personalize messaging based on research into institutional needs, roles, and global mobility goals ● Proactively generate new opportunities within the client target audiencesMarket Research & ICP Identification
● Research and map institutional structures, stakeholders, and decision-making pathways ● Analyze program models, enrollment trends, and institutional needs to prioritize outreach ● Track market signals to support territory strategies for Regional Vice PresidentsQualification & Meeting Scheduling
● Conduct initial qualification conversations with prospects ● Identify buyer needs and assess alignment to the clients solutions ● Schedule high-quality discovery meetings for RVPs with clear, complete handoffs ● Maintain consistent and accurate data in HubSpot CRMCross-Functional Collaboration
● Stay up-to-date on the clients product releases, campaigns, events, and competitive insights ● Collaborate with Marketing to test messaging, refine sequences, and strengthen outreach impact ● Participate in coaching, team meetings, and relevant industry events ● Support a values-driven team culture of learning, growth, and mission alignmentWhat We're Looking For:
