Key Accountabilities:

Market Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop market development plans targeting specific therapeutic areas, service offerings, or geographic regions
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to identify growth opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of value propositions and positioning strategies
  • Support the creation of business cases for new market entry or service expansion
  • Collaborate with leadership on market development priorities and resource allocation

Business Development and Client Engagement:

  • Identify and qualify prospective clients and partnership opportunities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Collaborate with business development teams on pursuit strategies and client approaches
  • Support the development of proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials
  • Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to expand market presence

Market Intelligence and Insights:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities
  • Develop market insights and share knowledge across the organization
  • Analyze client feedback and market signals to identify evolving needs and preferences
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership content and market positioning materials

Cross-functional Collaboration and Enablement:

  • Partner with service line leaders to align market development activities with capabilities
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns and content supporting market development
  • Work with operational teams to ensure delivery capabilities align with market opportunities
  • Support training and enablement of client-facing teams on market positioning and messaging
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across regions and business units

  • Typically 5-7 years of experience in market development, business development, or related roles
  • Background in clinical research, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries
  • Experience developing and implementing market growth strategies
  • Familiarity with proposal development and opportunity qualification processes
  • Understanding of service offerings and delivery models in clinical research
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Master's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field may be beneficial
  • Professional development in strategic marketing, business development, or market analysis
  • Certifications in project management, strategic planning, or business development may be valuable
