We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive the adoption of lime-based products in soil stabilization across Indiana and Illinois. This role leverages extensive industry experience and existing relationships to increase the use and understanding of the lime-based reagents in various construction segments.
Responsibilities:
1. Promotion and Market Development:
Promote lime-based soil stabilization solutions for highways, roads, and construction projects.
Collaborate with regional contractors, geotechnical engineers and industry associations to promote the use and effectiveness of soils stabilization.
Develop and execute strategic plans to increase the adoption of lime-based products in the construction industry.
2. Industry Collaboration:
Establish and foster strong partnerships with state Department of Transportation (DOT), industry associations, and construction departments.
Engage with relevant bodies such as state road builders' associations, American Reclaiming and Recycling Association, and other state-specific associations.
3. Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance on the benefits and applications of lime-based soil stabilization.
Work closely with engineers, contractors, and consultants to showcase the advantages of lime-based solutions in construction projects.
Contribute to significant projects, engaging with private, local, state, and federal agencies to integrate lime-based solutions in design and construction.
Collaborate on large-scale road projects, ensuring lime-based soil stabilization meets or exceeds project requirements.
Collaborate with state DOTs, research councils, and engineering associations to develop specifications for lime-based soil stabilization.
Assist in creating statewide specifications to promote the use of lime-based products in construction projects
4. Logistics and Efficiency:
Collaborate with contractors and logistics partners to optimize the supply chain and transportation of lime-based products.
Ensure efficiency and transparency in the delivery of lime-based materials, aiding contractors in effective project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or business administration (MBA preferred).
-10 plus years of experience
- Proven experience in business development, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Familiarity with lime-based products and soil stabilization techniques.
- Strong network within the construction industry, including state DOTs and relevant associations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Location:
- Based in Indiana or Illinois with frequent travel across both states.
