Key Responsibilities ●Be the company's "boots on the ground": run regular field visits across assigned territories to agro-dealers, distributors, retailers, cooperatives, commercial farms, coffee estates and smallholder farming communities (maize, coffee, sunflower, beans, banana and horticultural growing areas). ●Track the market systematically: collect and report market intelligence on pricing, competitor products and activities, channel dynamics, crop seasons and farmer needs — feeding a continuous market picture to the General Manager and HQ. ●Serve local customers directly: respond to enquiries, coordinate order follow-up, handle complaints and ensure timely, reliable service that builds the company's brands at the end-user level. ●Support the execution of the dual-track channel strategy: help activate and manage agro-dealers and distributors, and assist in developing direct relationships with coffee estates, commercial farms and cooperatives. ●Organize local promotional activities, farmer field days, product launches and demonstration events in coordination with the agronomy team. ●Maintain accurate records of visits, customer interactions and market findings; provide regular field reports. Requirements Candidate Requirements ●Ugandan national (open to all genders, ethnicities, religions and cultural backgrounds). ●3–8 years of experience in field sales, market development, distribution management or customer service; agri-input, FMCG, coffee/maize value chain or distribution-sector backgrounds preferred. ●Deep familiarity with Uganda's agricultural input distribution — how products move from importers/principals through agro-dealers and stockists to commercial farms and smallholder end users. ●Willing and able to spend most working days in the field across territories; a valid driving permit is required. ●Strong communication and relationship-building skills; hands-on, self-driven and comfortable in a start-up-like local operation. ●Good spoken English; Mandarin Chinese is an advantage. ●Basic proficiency with reporting tools (spreadsheets, messaging/collaboration apps); prior exposure to CRM-style reporting is a plus.
