The Market Assistant Chief Financial Officer (MACFO) is responsible for safeguarding facility assets and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. This role helps oversee compliance with financial policies, the effectiveness of internal controls, and overall financial governance.
As a key member of the facility leadership team, the MACFO partners with the CFO, CEO and A-Team to develop and execute strategic and financial plans, while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
The Market Assistant Chief Financial Officer collaborates with the Market Chief Financial Officer and assumes responsibility for the ongoing effective operation of the department by exerting a leadership role that supports the hospitals, mission, vision, goals and objectives while focusing on the patient, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers. The Market Assistant Chief Financial Officer supports the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration into the hospitals’ and market’s financial functions.
FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
The Market ACFO helps lead financial strategy, planning, and performance management for the facility, including risk identification, mitigation, and communication of financial risks and opportunities. This role collaborates closely with corporate functions (e.g., Accounting, Audit, Legal, Treasury, IT) to ensure alignment and operational effectiveness.
