Job Description

Come join Mahoney Environmental as a Market Area Sales Manager on the West Coast. The primary purpose for this position is to drive sales growth, productivity, and profitability for each "line of business" (LOB) for the assigned Region 's service and processing facilities. Ideally a candidate would be located in the LA/OC area, however other areas may be considered.

Additionally, the MASM will have a complete understanding of their respective region's economic, business, and competitive environment.

The MASM takes an active role in seeking out new business opportunities in their assigned Region (and associated market areas) and will also work with corporate in implementing and driving corporate sales initiatives and special projects.

It is essential for the MASM to work in close contact with their respective market area(s) Operations Manager(s) and the Vice President of Sales. The MASM will also have some direct reports that are situated in various cities across the west coast.

Starting Salary Range: $105,000 - $110,000 a year.

Primary Duties:

  • Management, accountability, and oversight for all RAMS, sales activities and logs, and results for their assigned region (including achieving all target numbers and quotas.)
  • Coaching, training, and developing RAMS for their assigned region.
  • Assign and manage RAM geographical territories and approves monthly "Pay for Performance" (PFP) results.
  • Establish and maintain close customer relationships with customers in their region; continuously seeking customer input regarding our service, programs, and equipment.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of competitors and competitive landscape for their assigned region. Schedules and leads the monthly sales meetings for their sales team.
  • Takes an active role and participation in the annual kick-off and mid-year sales meetings.
  • Works with the Vice President of Sales to development sales plans and programs for their respective region, and in achieving the respective sales goals. Additionally, provides sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Provides regional customer reviews and analysis, to help determine customer needs, prices, and programs. Analyzes sales activity and statistics to drive and improve performance.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings as required.
  • Prepares and assists with sales presentations to key customers in coordination with RAMS. Manages sales related expenditures for their region and associated team.
  • Participates in the annual business planning and budget process.
  • Works with National Accounts as required to assist with, and secure, new national account business.
  • Complete Performance Reviews on time.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • College Degree preferred but not required.
  • Sales and/or Restaurant Management experience preferred.
  • Proficient with computer and Microsoft office suite required.
  • Excellent organization and follow up skills.
  • Personable and have integrity.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to at least 100lbs, (rare occurrence but could be possible).
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for Mahoney Safety Standards.
  • Have a reliable personal vehicle to travel within territory as necessary.
