About the role

As a Market Access & Venue Operations Specialist, you’ll be the key link between ING and global trading venues, exchanges, and clearing partners. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insight into the lifecycle of financial market access while shaping processes that keep ING ahead in a fast-changing environment.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining Business-as-Usual (BAU) processes that support our exchange and clearing memberships, ensuring compliance and transparency. This includes supporting the Senior Trading Analyst with analysis on usage, maintenance tasks, cost, and risk. In addition, you will contribute to implementation projects for changes and enhancements to ING’s market infrastructure.

Using exchange and clearing services, either as a direct member or via a broker, commits ING to strict operational standards. Your role is pivotal in maintaining and improving these standards. Main roles and responsibilities:

As the Market Access & Venue Operations Specialist you:

  • Act as a point of contact for market access relationships, including trading venues, clearing houses, and brokers.
  • Maintain and document venue and clearing memberships, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Monitor and manage shared mailboxes, responding promptly to queries and coordinating follow-ups in a professional manner.
  • Map, document, and continuously improve end-to-end processes for venue operations and clearing workflows.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding of venues and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in Amsterdam teams (Trading, Risk, Compliance) and execution hubs in Bratislava and Manila to ensure efficient process execution.
  • Manage all stakeholders proactively that are involved in the realization of the projects/change initiatives.
  • Participate in change initiatives and projects, providing input on requirements and supporting implementation.
  • Contribute to larger projects, combining operational responsibilities with strategic initiatives to enhance market access processes and stakeholder communication.

As the Market Access & Venue Operations Specialist you:

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial markets, operations, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with market access processes, clearing workflows, and venue operations.
  • Ability to build and maintain sustainable stakeholder relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a pragmatic approach.
  • Skilled in documentation and process design; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment.
