Main Purpose
To serve as a strategic architect for patient access in the complex Bulgarian healthcare market. This role is responsible for identifying and dismantling barriers to access through innovative pricing strategies, value-based healthcare solutions, and high-level stakeholder collaborations. As a MA & Pricing Enabler, you will empower a cross-functional team to create optimal access for Roche’s portfolio and pipeline, ensuring Bulgarian patients receive innovative medicines faster and more sustainably.
Core Accountabilities
1. Strategic Access & Innovative Solutions
● Develop and implement the long-term access and pricing strategy for the entire disease area portfolio and future pipeline.
● Architect innovative access solutions, including Risk-Sharing Agreements, Outcomes-Based Agreements (OBA), and Alternative Reimbursement Models (ARMs) to address local budget constraints.
● Lead the co-creation of healthcare capacity solutions in partnership with Health System Partners (HSPs) and Global Access teams.
● Synthesize and localize global pharmaco-economic models to reflect the Bulgarian healthcare landscape and HTA requirements.
2. Pricing & Value Strategy
● Design and execute comprehensive pricing strategies that account for the local healthcare environment, international reference pricing, and launch sequencing.
● Lead all aspects of reimbursement submissions, ensuring robust value propositions and successful negotiations with Bulgarian authorities.
● Establish and monitor floor price compliance and commercial arrangements to maintain portfolio competitiveness and business sustainability.
● Review and escalate pricing business cases, providing critical assumptions to inform valuations for senior leadership.
● Achieve access for Roche’s priority and new products
3. Health Policy & System Shaping
● Influence the policy agenda by analyzing legislation and evaluating the impact of proposed healthcare reforms on the pharmaceutical sector.
● Build and uphold strategic relationships with key influencers, including the Ministry of Health, NCPR and NHIF.
● Represent Roche in industry organizations to advance legislative interests and protect the company’s reputation as a trustworthy partner.
4. Internal Collaboration
● Act as a senior cross-functional enabler, challenging individuals at all levels to find creative solutions to access hurdles.
● Empower a team, fostering a growth mindset and a culture of accountability and trust.
● Partner with Finance, Medical, and Supply Chain to ensure demand forecasting accuracy and ensure business plans align with access timelines.

Qualifications & Experience
Experience:
○ Significant experience (5+ years) in Market Access and Pricing within the pharmaceutical industry.
○ Proven track record of successful reimbursement submissions and negotiations in Bulgaria.
○ Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to handle multiple, competing projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines, with outstanding attention to detail.
○ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including executives.
○ Excellent knowledge of the healthcare system and reimbursement regulations.
● Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Bulgarian healthcare landscape, HTA processes, and pharmaceutical regulations.
○ Expertise in Pharmaco-economics, health economics, and value-based pricing models.
● Languages: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential
