Chiesi Global Rare Diseases

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma.

Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here.

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

Reporting to the Head, Pricing, Contracting and Forecasting, Americas Market Access Rare Diseases, the Market Access Operations Analyst will work with Market Access data and access, specifically for Chiesi Global Rare Disease products for the Americas.

This role’s main responsibility is Market Access metrics and reporting as it relates to Trade and Specialty Pharmacy agreements.

You’ll be responsible for:

The Market Access Operations Analyst position contributes to company success by being a key role to create and analyze Market Access data reporting and trends. This role will also be critical in executing data related tasks for the Market access team, and project management related functions. This role will support the Market Access team as needs arise, focusing on price trends, copay card utilization, distribution channel data needs, and payer invoice review.

This role will need to remain up to date on legislative policies and measure impact to GRD portfolio.

  • Analyzing and regularly updating complex data sets (payer mix, competitive market data etc.)
  • Organize and cross check discounts with Finance and Government pricing
  • Build and update policy forecast trackers with financial inputs
  • Support Market Access policy and contracting needs
  • Pricing analyses and reimbursement tracking
  • Lead for Market Access vendors and user access

The Market Access Operations Analyst role with work cross functionally with multiple functions such as Marketing, Patient Services, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Finance, Business Knowledge, Sales, New Product Planning and other departments. It will also work closely with third-party service providers.

You will need to have

  • BS/BA required.
  • 1-2 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in data analytics type roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of Market Access insights.
  • Strong analytical (qualitative and quantitative), strategic thinking, creativity & problem-solving skills.
  • Self-directed and confident, with ability to contribute to shared commitment and goals to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
  • Proficient in SQL and MS Office, specifically Excel.

We would prefer for you to have

  • Advanced degree.
  • Knowledge of current US payer environment and Market Access dynamics.
  • Additional experience working with analysis or other data reporting tools (such as PowerBI).

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $107,190 to $131,010. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
