Purpose:
The Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing market access, health economics, and reimbursement strategies for prioritized technologies in Brazil. This role partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to translate clinical and economic evidence into value propositions that support sustainable access and adoption in the Brazilian healthcare system.
The HEMA Manager brings deep understanding of the Brazilian healthcare landscape—including regulation, funding, and operational dynamics between private hospitals and payers—to inform business strategy and decision-making. Acting as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders, this role supports the development and execution of customer-specific access strategies, ensuring alignment with local market needs and requirements.

Key responsibilities include developing and adapting value propositions based on clinical and economic evidence, supporting product launches by identifying evidence gaps and access barriers, and translating global materials into locally relevant and actionable insights. The role also partners with Marketing to enable demand generation and value creation strategies, ensuring consistent and compelling communication of value across stakeholders.
A core component of the role is to enable and upskill the Commercial organization. The HEMA Manager provides structured training and ongoing advisory support to sales teams, strengthening both technical knowledge (e.g., reimbursement, coding, access pathways) and soft skills required to effectively communicate value. Additionally, the role ensures technical curation and consistency of value messaging used in the field, supporting compliant and effective interactions within the healthcare ecosystem.
The position requires a consultative mindset to guide internal teams on the dynamics between hospitals and payers, including reimbursement models, coding, and technology adoption processes. The HEMA Manager supports the development of tailored account strategies and contributes to initiatives that optimize care pathways and value delivery within the private healthcare setting.
Over time, the role is expected to contribute to shaping the external environment by monitoring regulatory and policy trends, developing stakeholder maps, and collaborating with internal leadership on mid- and long-term access strategies. This includes supporting discussions related to regulatory shaping and market access evolution in Brazil.
The HEMA Manager also contributes to the development of value-based projects, integrating clinical, economic, and operational perspectives to support sustainable healthcare solutions.
