Job Description

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and drive access strategies that make a real impact on patients’ lives. What makes it unique is the chance to implement the full scope of the strategy — from concept to execution — and see your ideas come to life.

Your new position

As Market Access Manager, you will drive the development and implementation of market access strategies for Novo Nordisk’s innovative pipeline in Switzerland. You’ll ensure timely and sustainable access to therapies by translating global strategies into impactful local solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams and key external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies for both reimbursed and non-reimbursed products
  • Lead pricing and reimbursement submissions to the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH)
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of the Swiss healthcare and reimbursement environment to guide strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to local value propositions and provide input into global evidence generation plans
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies and stakeholder engagement approaches
  • Monitor payer trends, policy changes, and competitor activities affecting access and reimbursement
  • Identify and leverage innovative access models and real-world evidence (RWE) to support decision-making

Your new department

At Novo Nordisk Switzerland, our integrated department brings together Regulatory, Market Access, Public Affairs, and Communications to drive strategic impact across the healthcare landscape. We champion cross-functional collaboration and readiness for future assets, ensuring our organisation’s voice is heard throughout Swiss society. Within this setup, our Market Access team plays a central role in securing and optimizing access to innovative therapies, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. This collaborative environment supports robust planning and strategic execution, enabling us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in market access, pricing, or health economics, ideally within the Swiss pharmaceutical environment. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with practical experience, a deep understanding of the Swiss healthcare system, and the ability to translate scientific and economic evidence into impactful access strategies.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related field, with 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven expertise in Swiss market access, pricing, reimbursement processes, and regulatory dynamics
  • Experience in early asset planning, launch preparation, and developing access strategies beyond traditional reimbursement channels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with payers and stakeholders
  • Fluent in German and English; knowledge of French or Italian is an advantage
