Join our team! We are looking for a Surveyor in St Nazaire (France/44)

Join a dynamic team Based at our Saint-Nazaire office and integrated into a team of experts, you will serve as the technical point of contact and lead inspector for assignments focused on verifying compliance with applicable standards, primarily for equipment intended for ships. You will also conduct inspections on board vessels in service.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Perform factory inspections and audits of materials and equipment intended for maritime use
  • Conduct inspections on ships in service, whether classed or non-classed

You will be required to travel regularly, primarily for day trips, within the Nantes region (including Angers, Cholet, La Roche-sur-Yon, Châteaubriant, southern Rennes, and Saint-Nazaire).

A company vehicle will be provided for these travels.

Your strengths for success:

• Education and experience: With a higher education in shipbuilding or naval engineering, or as a former officer of the Merchant Navy, you have knowledge in propulsion and onboard systems, electricity, and naval architecture.

• Personal qualities: You demonstrate rigor, a strong team spirit, autonomy, as well as analytical and synthesis skills.

• Language skills: Your proficiency in English allows you to communicate effectively with our clients, teams, and international network.

• Technical skills: You are proficient with computer tools and have good writing and interpersonal skills.
