About the Role
We are looking for a Marine Service Coordinator to join our team in India. In this role, you will be the vital link between shipping companies, marine engineers, Consilium offices worldwide, subcontractors, vendors, and port authorities, ensuring that vessel service, repairs, and maintenance are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
You will coordinate technician deployments, manage spare parts logistics, oversee project documentation and invoicing, and help ensure compliance with international maritime regulations while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate Field Service Engineer (FSE) schedules and mobilize technicians to vessels in major Indian ports and worldwide.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout service delivery, providing updates, coordinating contract execution, troubleshooting, and post-service support.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of spare parts and required materials.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, work orders, service reports, and invoices while monitoring project costs and profitability.
Ensure all service activities are accurately documented and completed according to company procedures.
Maintain compliance with international maritime regulations, including SOLAS and MARPOL, as well as internal safety standards and policies.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines technical understanding with strong coordination and customer service skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Studies, or a related field.
5–10 years of experience in service coordination, preferably within the marine or maritime industry.
Experience working with vessel maintenance, marine operations, or technical service is highly advantageous.
Skills
Strong technical aptitude and project coordination skills.
Experience working with ERP and CRM systems.
Good commercial and financial understanding with the ability to monitor project profitability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, international environment.
