Thenamaris (Ships Management) Inc. manages Tanker vessels, Thenamaris ConBulk Inc. manages bulk carriers and containerships, while Thenamaris LNG Inc. manages LNG and LPG carriers.

Thenamaris invites high-caliber professionals to apply for the Marine Personnel Business Systems Analyst position in the Marine Personnel department, Marine Personnel Processes & Applications section.

The Marine Personnel Business Systems Analyst is responsible for providing effective support, designing new applications, optimizing and continuously improving the systems landscape within the Marine Personnel Department. The position ensures data integrity, monitors and enhances database performance, and acts as the key liaison between Marine Personnel, IT, and external vendors for business applications’ development, enhancements and integrations. It combines business analysis, process improvement, and active participation in ERP initiatives with the development of reporting and analytics, working alongside the core operational team of the Marine Personnel Department. Responsibilities span managing and analyzing data using SQL, developing Power BI reports, supporting UAT and quality assurance, and providing user support to ensure systems and data effectively support operational and strategic goals.

The position is permanent and is based on-site in Athens (Vouliagmeni), Greece.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Science and Technology, or related field; a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline will be considered a strong asset.
  • At least (3) three years of professional experience in business systems analysis or development/ERP support and systems integrations; prior experience in the shipping industry will be considered an advantage.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and other Microsoft applications (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Sharepoint) is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, API testing (e.g., Postman), and database structures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and business process modeling will be considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, in both Greek and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational and project priorities in a dynamic environment.
