Underwrite a portfolio of proportional and excess of loss reinsurance, utilizing a variety of experience and exposure analytical techniques as well as qualitative analysis.
Lead negotiations on treaty renewals including the structuring and quoting of deals.
Effectively communicate and build relationships with reinsurance intermediaries and cedents.
Participate in conferences, seminars, industry events, and cedent meetings.
Work closely with actuarial, finance, operations, and other business partners to build portfolio metrics and perform ad-hoc analyses.
What We’re Looking For
3-5+ years of relevant treaty reinsurance experience obtained at a leading carrier or intermediary.
Proven ability to grow a network of broker and client relationships across diverse lines of business.
Commercial awareness with the ability to find solutions.
Self-starting entrepreneurial attitude.
Command of reinsurance structures, pricing techniques, contract wording, and claims.
Comprehensive understanding of modeling principles for both pricing and exposure management.
Strong analytical, oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
