Job Description

White Bluff Resort is seeking a reliable and service-minded Marina Dock Attendant to assist with daily dock upkeep, marina cleanliness, basic member/guest assistance, and routine reporting.

This position serves as an additional set of eyes and hands throughout the marina, helping ensure the docks remain clean, safe, and properly maintained during the busy season. The Dock Attendant will support marina operations by emptying trash, monitoring dock conditions, assisting individuals with general questions, and reporting maintenance or compliance concerns to the appropriate department or marina administration.

The Marina Dock Attendant provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service.

Responsibilities

  • Emptying trash receptacles throughout the marina and dock areas.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of docks, walkways, and common marina areas.
  • Assisting property owners, marina lessees, and guests with general questions or directions.
  • Monitoring dock areas for visible maintenance concerns safety hazards, or damage.
  • Reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate department in a timely manner.
  • Reporting marina compliance concerns to marina administration.
  • Helping ensure dock walkways remain clear, clean, and safely accessible.
  • Providing a helpful, professional presence throughout the marina.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by marina administration or management.
  • Respond to resident or staff inquiries and concerns regarding marina conditions professionally and promptly.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

  • Strong reliability and punctuality.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to observe, document, and report issues accurately.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk docks, lift trash bags, and perform light physical labor.
  • Availability for weekends, holidays, or peak marina-use periods preferred.

Previous marina, maintenance, hospitality, security, or customer service experience is helpful, but not required.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently across multiple locations.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to:
    • work in an upright standing position for long periods of time

  • Handle, grasp, feel objects and equipment.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings are required to meet the job functions.
  • Repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers.
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level.
  • Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone.
  • Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone.
  • Ability to stoop and bend.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Position may require valid Driver’s License.
