He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland Council has an exciting opportunity for a Marina Crew – Dockmaster to join the team at Westhaven Marina – the largest recreational marina in the Southern Hemisphere.
You’ll be working directly with berth holders, visiting skippers, and crew, helping to ensure a safe, professional, and welcoming environment on the water 24/7. This is not a desk-based role – you’ll be out on the docks, assisting with boats, supporting customers, and representing Westhaven as a premier facility for the boating community.

You’ll bring strong customer service experience along with a solid background in boating, marine operations, or marina environments. Ideally, you’ll be comfortable working with boats and talking the language of skippers and crew. You might walk up to 7kms per day around the Marina.

All Dockmasters are expected to participate in a night shift rotation. While this schedule will be partly based on individual preferences, details will be discussed during the interview with the team leader.
