Job Description
The Retention Coordinator plays a critical role in shaping the first 90 days of each new employee’s experience. This position helps ensure successful onboarding, cultural integration, proper training, and high retention. The Retention Coordinator works closely with plant leadership and new hires to support communication, expectations, accountability, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and onboard new employees during their first 90 days.
- Create an integration experience that allows new hires to acclimate at a fair, structured pace.
- Introduce new employees to the company culture and facilitate strong early relationships with team members.
- Ensure new hires understand work rules, attendance expectations, and performance standards.
- Provide comprehensive instruction on core values, company policies, safety, and health, including use of the Alchemy training platform.
- Serve as a role model for attendance, professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to procedures.
- Maintain organized documentation and reporting to support structured onboarding.
- Collaborate with Superintendents, Supervisors, and Line Leads to support smooth assimilation into production roles.
- Plan and facilitate 30‑day and 90‑day team check‑ins for feedback, coaching, and recognition.
- Positively influence overall 90‑day retention rates.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, talking, and hearing; occasional walking and handling of objects.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Work performed in an office environment with moderate noise.
- Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.

- Bilingual required — English / Spanish required; Creole is a plus.

Bilingual Required: Spanish (Creole a Plus)
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred to support onboarding, coaching, and training. Knowledge of Creole is an additional advantage due to workforce language needs.
