About therole
Basic Purpose Greet and seat guests while coordinating guest reservations and responding to inquiries in an efficient,courteousand professional manner to achievemaximumcustomer satisfaction whilecomplying withall Four Seasons’ policies.
What you will do
Seat guests promptly at atablepre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference.
Set up host/hostessstand, review guest reservation book, and makerecommendations as to the set-up of the room,maintaina station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing themaximumworkload capacity of each serverin order tomeet Four Seasons Service standards.
Answer telephones according to Four Seasons standards andtakeguest reservations or provide informationregardingthe restaurant or any other hotel service.
Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name andutilizethe guest’s name consistently.
Inspect andmaintaindaily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.
Comply withFourSeasons’Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct asset forth inEmPact
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
What you bring
High school education or equivalent experience
Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience isrequired
Working knowledge of the restaurant aspect of Four Seasons services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel(working knowledgegenerally learnedon the job)
Ability tooperatecomputer equipment and the reservations system
Reading,writingand oralproficiencyin the English language
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights,weekendsand holidays
