Job Description

IRP Systems is developing the next generation of high-performance e-powertrain systems that will shape the future of electric mobility. We are looking for a Test Equipment Technician to support production at our manufacturing partner’s facility in India, ensuring high tester availability, reliability, and product quality.

You’ll be responsible for the following

• Troubleshoot hardware and basic software issues related to test systems and production test processes, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Track tester breakdowns and document corrective and preventive measures

• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring proper safety stock and availability

• Execute equipment updates, upgrades, and modifications to improve robustness and reliability

• Carry out validation of test systems in accordance with internal procedures, including Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

• Monitor and report tester performance metrics including yield, cycle time, and OEE

• Analyze test results and production data to identify trends and recommend improvements

• Establish and maintain tester-related documentation (procedures, validation reports, work instructions, maintenance records)

• Support internal and external audits related to test equipment and maintenance activities

• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to support ramp-up and serial production

Skills and Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field

• Proven experience in maintenance and support of electronic test equipment in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of functional testing (FCT), end-of-line testing (EOL), and production test methodologies

• Hands-on experience with electronic measurement equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, test specifications, and technical documentation

• Basic knowledge of test software and data analysis tools is a plus

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Good documentation, organizational, and communication skills

• Proficiency in English for technical communication
