Job Description
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
- Final assembly point for manufacture & remanufacture of paper handling modules to be used in the integration of Mail creation & Sortation systems.
- Electromechanical assembly & recondition of components and sub-systems built onto base platforms per engineering specifications and/or verbal instruction.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mechanical aptitude with assembly experience utilizing “standard” hand tools such as hand wrenches, screwdrivers, power assisted fastening tools, utilizing jigs & dies where applicable, and other factory support items such as overhead cranes, product dolly’s, etc.
- Basic blueprint reading and understanding, work instruction reading and comprehension, able to take verbal instruction.
- Perform General troubleshooting and repair of defects.
- Able to work both independently with moderate supervision and collaborate as a team member.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The role will report to the Manufacturing Manager and collaborate with manufacturing cell leaders and experienced machine builders. Work with Engineering on prototype and first article builds.
Qualifications
MINIMUM:
- High school diploma or GED
- Good mechanical aptitude; fluent in reading and understanding English – grade 12 level or higher; Math skills – grade 12 level or higher; familiarity with hand tools.
PREFERRED:
- In addition to the above, 1-3 years in an industrial or electromechanical environment.
- Familiarity with elementary electronics: PCB/circuit design, PLC operation, system testing.
