At the Solar Turbines facility in Wamego, Kansas, we take pride in working together to safely build quality products for our customers to help them succeed.
Possible Work Areas:
Fabrication - Running CNC plasma and oxy-fuel burn tables, operating overhead hoists, labeling and removing slag from parts. This position also branches into opportunities in flame bevel, Horizontal band saw and entry level machinist.
Assembly - Receiving detailed written and verbal instructions on all work. This position will assemble large and heavy parts to complete units or subassemblies, use hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment/ tooling. May reassemble or rework units as required.
Paint - Including but not limited to prepping parts and units prior to painting such as shot blasting, power washing, greasing bores, installing ground engagement tools with various tools such as manual wrenches, impact and torque wrenches. As well as rigging various sizes of units using different lifting devices.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Ability to work a regular schedule where daily attendance and punctuality are required
Ability to safely perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, performing repetitive work
Ability to produce quality work at a sustained pace
Demonstrates ability to follow directions and standard work
Top candidate will have:
Fabrication, assembly, and/or paint experience
Compensation & Benefits
Starting pay range $17.89 – 24.14 (additional 7% shift differential for second shift)

Openings available on first or second shift.
First Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm
Second Shift: – Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm- 2:00am
(*Overtime available based on business need)
