MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN

At Lithionics Battery®, we design advanced battery systems that offer real savings when replacing common battery chemistries. These are the most advanced Lithium-Ion batteries and may be found in low speed electric vehicles, boat, RVs and more.

Important Qualities

  • Color vision Assemblers who make electrical and electronic products must be able to distinguish different colors because the wires they work with often are color coded.
  • Dexterity Assemblers should have a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination, as they must grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small.
  • Math skills Assemblers must know basic math and must be able to use computers, as the manufacturing process continues to advance technologically.
  • Physical stamina Assemblers must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitious work.
  • Physical strength Assemblers must be strong enough to lift or move heavy components within OSHA guidelines. Some assemblers must frequently bend when assembling parts.
  • Technical skills Assemblers must be able to understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for a wide range of products and machines to properly manufacture the final product.
  • Successful candidates today were previously trained automotive and motorcycle mechanics

What Does A Manufacturing Technician Do At Lithionics Battery?

  • Work towards achieving company goals for superior quality and on-time delivery
  • Build various stages of assemblies from kit of parts to given procedures in line with training criteria. Levels are clearly defined progressive steps with progressive pay structure through Apprentice, Journeyman/Journeywoman and Master training programs.
  • Comply with procedures applicable to product assembly within training criteria and compliance to Workmanship Standards.
  • Able to understand and work to electrical wiring and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Knowledge of a range of hand tools and their application
  • Comply with anti-static policies of the company
  • Understand and implement the Company’s policies on Quality and Safety
  • Be aware of and comply with any special requirements of the product line
  • Maintain consistency of quality workmanship Be aware of the Engineering change, concession and defect reporting systems.
  • Any other production duties as deemed necessary.
  • Stage systems for integration and final test/QC
  • Support Integration and Factory Acceptance Testing as needed
  • Support Production Planning on Work Order requirements, parts issued etc.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted

In the role of Manufacturing Technician you will:

  • Assemble equipment according to procedures & drawing specifications by reading drawings and following instruction
  • Read calipers, gauges, & other measuring tools
  • Assemble components using the proper equipment and techniques, in accordance with the work instruction & procedures
  • Assemble various configurations of components to corresponding assembly prints utilizing available tooling, gauging and equipment
  • Verify that assembled components meet quality guidelines
  • Keep equipment in well working condition – perform scheduled maintenance
  • Keep all working areas safe and free of debris

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to do basic math
  • 1 or more years of assembly experience
  • Availability to work 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday - Thursday. Some overtime may be required.
