This role contributes to achieving production targets for volume, quality, safety (OHS), cost efficiency, yield, and line readiness.
The position supports design feasibility evaluation, new product builds, verification and validation activities, and production handover by assisting engineers in converting product and process concepts into repeatable, documented, and production-ready manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Support NPI manufacturing engineering activities in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers, Product Development, Quality, and Production teams
Assist in prototype builds, process trials, sample preparation, and capability development within the NPI workshop and manufacturing environment
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and build requirements to support the fabrication, adjustment, and verification of jigs, fixtures, tools, and components
Perform equipment setup, changeover, troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and readiness checks to support prototype, validation, and production activities
Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, cost effectiveness, yield, cycle time, and line performance
Support testing, verification, validation, data collection, inspection, and issue investigation activities for new and existing products
Maintain accurate documentation for process trials, equipment settings, build records, tooling status, work instructions, and procedures
Ensure compliance with company policies, Quality, GMP, regulatory, and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements during all workshop and production activities
Provide hands-on technical support to engineers and act as a practical resource for operators, junior technicians, and team members when required
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Product Development teams to close actions and support smooth handover

Strong practical problem-solving skills and ability to respond to non-routine technical, build, equipment, and process situations
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, documentation practices, safety requirements, and controlled production environments
Preferred:
Experience supporting prototyping, NPI builds, product development, validation, or engineering trial activities
Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, traceability, documentation control, or regulated manufacturing environments such as medical devices
Exposure to Lean, 5S, root cause analysis, basic data collection, process improvement, or equipment reliability activities
